Follow-up Energy Audit

Energy auditing is designed to be continual, and at it most effective it is part of a company’s normal continual improvement working processes. The building Follow-up Energy Audit has been developed to enhance the upkeep and improvement of energy efficiency.

The model is applied to cases where a building has previously had an energy audit in line with Motiva or MEE guidelines. The model can also be applied in the follow-up auditing of industrial facilities, but then a project plan must be appended to the subsidy application.

An MEE subsidy for carrying out a follow-up energy audit can be applied for when three years have elapsed since the date of the previous audit. If the facility has undergone major alterations since the previous audit so that the new audit cannot make use of data from the earlier audit, the audit can be made as with a first-time energy audit.
