Saving Potentials in the Service Sector
The gross calculation of energy saving potentials of the municipal and private service sector for 2004-2009 in the 556 facilities was for heating on average about 14% (c 84 GWh/a) and for electricity about 5% (c 33 GWh/a) and for water 7% (c 120,000 m3).
Altogether for 1992-2009 4,400 facilities have been audited, accounting for about 118 million m3. The saving potentials of heating energy at these facilities have been on average 16% (c 735 GWh/a), the saving potential of electricity about 7% (c 204 GWh/a) and the saving potentials of water about 7% (c 1.2 million m3/a).
Saving potentials in the municipal sector
Altogether from 1992-2007 over 3,100 facilities were audited in the municipal sector, corresponding to about 55 million m3. In these facilities the saving potential of heating energy was 15% (c 400 GWh/a), the saving potential of electrical energy just over 7% (c 75 GWh/a) and the saving potentials of water 7.5% (c 0.7 million m3).
Saving potential in the private service sector
Altogether from 1992-2009 1,300 private service sector facilities were audited, corresponding to 64 million m3. In these facilities the average saving potential of heating energy was on average 18% (c 347 GWh/a), the saving potential of electrical energy just over 6% (c 129 GWh/a) and the saving potentials of water 7% (c 0.5 million m3).
Realizing saving potential
In 2009 a report was made on the realization of the saving potential established in energy auditing, based on the follow-up data of the energy savings agreements. Based on the report a savings potential of about 70% in the service sector was realized.
