Energy Efficiency Agreement
Voluntary energy efficiency agreement schemes for various sectors for the years 2008-2016 were completed by the end of 2007, in accordance with the national climate and energy strategy. These schemes aim to help Finland meet its international commitments to mitigate global climate change by enhancing energy efficiency. Finland’s energy efficiency target for 2016 is to achieve annual energy savings amounting to 9% of average annual energy consumption during the period 2001-2005, equivalent to 17.8 TWh.Finland – Energy Efficiency Agreements 2008-2016 (pdf) (374.3 KB)
