The Ways and Means

As the coordinator Motiva provides tools, informative material, tips and information dissemination support to the participants and acts as the national media contact point.

Better public awareness on the use of renewable energy sources in addition to efficient use of energy in combating the climate change is the major goal also in future developments of the National Energy Awareness Week.

Themes for industrial companies base in changing the personnel's behaviour, but attention is also paid to the different industrial processes; e.g. steam processes, compressed air and cooling processes.

The main focus is in promoting energy efficiency and renewables, and in changing people’s behaviour into more environmentally conscious direction. Sensible use of energy has a positive image. Energy Awareness Week in Finland is one of the Sustainable Energy Europe campaign events.
