In Finland children are taught about the practical importance of using energy sparingly from an early age, from kindergarten level onwards. Many Finnish parents also encourage their kids to save energy at home as soon as they are old enough to reach a light switch.

Energy issues in school curricula

Schoolchildren in Finland are taught about the importance of using energy sparingly and favouring renewable natural resources from primary school right through to upper secondary level, in various parts of the school curricula.
