Technical Museum, Helsinki

Many of the Technical Museum’s exhibits feature various aspects of electricity, including:
  • Electricity as a natural phenomenon.
  • Different ways to produce electricity (miniature models, diagrammatic illustrations and other exhibits explaining hydropower, solar power, wind power, nuclear power and geothermal energy).
  • How electricity is transformed and transmitted to consumers.
  • How electricity is used by industry, for transportation and in our homes.
Visitors can also work an energy wheel to find out how much electricity they can produce using their own energy. The museum is a highly suitable destination for schoolchildren of all ages. Vistors can be guided or explore the museum’s exhibits independently.
