Secret Letters – Jack Daw Finds Out About Energy

This activity uses stories and puppets to teach pre-school children (age 5-7) about energy and how to save energy. A teacher narrates a story, which the children should act out using characters in a tabletop puppet theatre.

Bringing storybook tales to life

The Jack Daw storybook can be used with children in day care centres, clubs, or even at home. It features ten cutout animal figures, and instructions on how to build your own tabletop puppet theatre. The book also contains plenty of ideas for games and activities to help bring the characters and their stories to life.

Attractive characters designed by a prize-winning artist The book’s illustrations have been produced by the prize-winning artist and art teacher Katri Kirkkopelto. The book “Secret letters – Jack Daw finds out about energy” (in Finnish only???) is available at a price of €18, including VAT but excluding postage costs. A small book of children’s rhymes featuring the same animal characters (entitled “Friendship” is also available (€1.60 per copy).
