Final Consumption of Energy in Agriculture
The next figure shows the final energy consumption of the agricultural sector in 2000 and 2022, and an analysis of factors which have affected the observed change in consumption (so-called decomposition analysis).
- Final energy consumption decreased by 0.4 TWh in the study period.
- Growth in sectoral activity would have increased energy consumption by 2.6 TWh, all other things equal.
- Other factors, such as energy savings and structural factors, reduced the consumption by 3.0 TWh.
