Welcome to join the Nordic Public Procurers’ Network for Circular Construction – First meeting in Helsinki, 24–25 November
Join the Nordic Procurers’ Network for Circular Construction and be a frontrunner in adopting the newest circular materials and solutions.
The Nordic Programme on Circular Procurement 2025–27 has received funding from the Nordic Council of Ministers and will establish a new Nordic network for public procurers interested in adopting and testing innovative circular construction materials and solutions. The project provides funding to cover meeting costs for network members as well as support for innovative procurements.
The goal of the network is to help public procurers increase the adoption of circular solutions, achieve CO₂ emission reductions, and save money. We facilitate knowledge sharing among Nordic procurers and promote dialogue between buyers and suppliers.
Our work is very hands-on and practical: we share experiences and lessons learned from construction procurement cases, organize market dialogue events, provide funding for innovative pilots and procurements, and support the development of tools and guides.
If you are interested in joining this group of open-minded developers, you are warmly welcome to our first in-person meeting in Helsinki on 24–25 November 2025.
Your travel and accommodation expenses can be covered by the project.
During the first event, you’ll hear inspiring cases from colleagues in other Nordic cities and public organizations. We’ll also discuss the funding available for innovative pilot projects and procurements. In addition, we are eager to hear your ideas and thoughts on the circular construction challenges you are facing or would like to solve.

What should I know about the group, the collaboration opportunities it offers, and how to join?
Who is this group for? This network is intended for public procurement professionals working at the state, regional, or municipal level across the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden). You may work as a procurement expert, project owner, or environmental specialist in your organization. Your organization likely has targets to reduce CO₂ emissions, increase the use of reused materials, and promote other circular solutions — and is interested in finding practical ways to advance circular procurement.
You don’t have to be a frontrunner to join, but it’s important that you can dedicate some time to the group’s meetings and have relevant cases or experiences to share with others.
The group can include around 15 participating organizations, and our goal is to have representation from all Nordic countries.
